At Remedy Massage, we have introduced a few changes to help ensure the safety of both you (patients) and therapists.
Booking your appointment
Your therapist will be wearing the appropriate level of PPE - personal protective equipment - to work with you. At the current time the government and professional guidance suggests:
Please email any further questions or concerns to shauna.remedymassage@gmail.com.
Booking your appointment
- Bookings strictly online via remedymassage.co.uk or by emailing shauna.remedymassage@gmail.com
- You will need to fill in a new consultation form prior to your treatment which you will receive upon booking. This needs to be completed online and returned via email before your appointment.
- Make sure you have filled out and emailed your consultation form.
- Please bring your own water.
- Before you leave your home, please check your temperature, and consider if you are experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms, including:
- A recent onset of a new, continuous cough
- A high temperature (typically over 37.8℃)
- A loss of, or change in, normal sense of taste or smell.
- If yes to any of those questions, please contact us immediately to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
- It is now mandatory to wear a face covering (8th Aug 2020) before entering and you must keep it on until you leave. It is acceptable to remove your mask when you are lying ‘prone’ (on your tummy), but you will need to put it back on when you turn onto your side or back, or the massage is concluded.
- When you arrive, please go straight to the washroom to wash your hands thoroughly. You can also make use of the hand sanitiser available in the treatment room and around the gym.
- Please wait at the front seated area upon arrival to reduce the traffic outside the treatment door where you will be received by the therapist.
- Please wear easy to remove clothes and keep jewellery to a minimum. You will be given a container in which to put your possessions and clothes when you undress. This box will be fully cleaned and sanitised between clients. If you are a key worker, particularly a frontline member of NHS staff, please change out of your work clothes and shower before attending your appointment.
- Your massage will continue as per usual, however, the therapist will pop on gloves prior to making contact with your body.
Your therapist will be wearing the appropriate level of PPE - personal protective equipment - to work with you. At the current time the government and professional guidance suggests:
- Visor - for the duration of the appointment
- Mask - for the duration of the appointment
- Gloves - for the actual massage
- When the appointment is complete, we recommend you use the hand sanitiser provided and/or revisit the bathroom and wash your hands again.
- Payment should ideally be made either at the time of online booking. However a card machine will be available and cash can be used if absolutely necessary.
- We would recommend keeping conversation to a minimum to avoid any possible droplet formation.
- Although it is very nice to be helpful, please leave all the towels and linen on the table after your session!
- There will be at least a 20 minute gap between clients, to enable disinfection of the practice room, table, equipment and doors etc…
Please email any further questions or concerns to shauna.remedymassage@gmail.com.
